Armor is a type of item that gives protection to players from common damage types and appear visually on the user's body. Armor is composed of different parts, which are helmets, chestplates, leggings, boots and in the case of the Aether, gauntlets.
Obtaining
24! units of any particular material*, are required to make a full set. Armor can be repaired by combining two of the same (such as two Gravitite Leggings) in a crafting grid and will result in +5% durability but any enchantments are lost. Anvil repair will preserve and combine enchantments, however.
*If that armor can be crafted

Usage
Taegore hide is essentially the same as leather, Zanite gets stronger as its durability decreases, Arkenium is very durable but reduces player speed, Gravitite allows the player to jump higher (Shift+Space).
Each piece of a set provides at least one-half of a point for protection against damage, however, users will see the most benefit with a full armor set equipped. For armor with protection equivalent to iron or diamond, boots are more efficient than helmets. Chestpieces provide the most defense of any piece in a set.
Tiers
General armor classes are, from worst to best (with Taegore hide being the worst at base-stats):
- Taegore Hide
- Zanite
- Arkenium
- Gravitite
