Coarse Aether Dirt is a variation of Aether Dirt that plants won't grow on.

Coarse Aether Dirt does not require a shovel to be obtained, and so, will drop even if mined with bare hands.

  1. Times are for unenchanted tools in seconds.
  2. Times in order are the slowest to fastest mining speeds based on the tool's durability.

Natural generation[]

Coarse Aether Dirt spawns occasionally in veins on the Aether's islands. The veins spawn close to the surface above Holystone in the dirt layer.

Coarse Aether Dirt cannot grow Aether plants and trees, like its Overworld counterpart.

Aether Dirt can be "grown" through using any type of Swet Gel on a Coarse Aether Dirt block. When the Swet Gel is used, it'll turn any Coarse Aether Dirt blocks in a 3x3 radius into Aether Dirt.

  • Coarse Aether Dirt was originally a suggestion made by a community member along with a texture. The texture has stayed the same since it was originally suggested.
