Disambig This article is about the ore. For the item smelted from it, see Gravitite Plate.

Gravitite Ore is the rarest mineral block in the Aether.

Obtaining[]

Gravitite Ore will drop as an item if mined by a Zanite Pickaxe or better. If mined by any other tool, it will drop nothing.

  1. Times are for unenchanted tools in seconds.
  2. Times in order are the slowest to fastest mining speeds based on the tool's durability.

Natural generation[]

When new chunks are generated in The Aether, some Holystone may become Gravitite Ore. The ore is rare and only spawns below Y level 50, as long as the island's bottom is deeper than that level. Its rarity is about the same as Diamond from the Overworld.

Usage[]

Behavior[]

Gravitite Ore has reversed gravity, so it behaves like sand but opposite. When a block is removed from above the Gravitite Ore, it will float upwards until it is stopped by another block.

Tips[]

  • For best mining results, mine as close to the bottom of an island as you can without falling, as that usually results in losing items. Then, strip mine through the island to search for the ore.
  • Another way to find Gravitite Ore is to bridge out around the bottom of the island once you mine to the bottom.
