If the block under the incubator is not solid, the Moa will fall through if the block under the Incubator's support is empty air.

As the space above an Incubator is air, baby Moas may accidentally fall to their deaths, it is recommended to have an enclosure near or around the Incubator so baby Moas cannot jump out of it.

Removing Moa Eggs from the GUI during incubation will reset the incubation meter to empty. The incubation will not reset or go down when the Incubator is out of torches. Instead, it will remain the same until more torches are added to it.

~ Book of Lore

Incubators are a type of utility block found in the Aether, and are used to hatch Moa Eggs.

Obtaining

An Incubator requires a pickaxe to be obtained, in which when mined, it will drop itself. If mined without a pickaxe, it will drop nothing and be destroyed.

Usage

Placing a Moa Egg and three Ambrosium Chunks into the GUI will allow players to hatch it into a baby Moa. When hatched, a baby Moa will spawn on top of the Incubator. If the block under the incubator is not solid, the Moa will fall through if the block under the Incubator's support is empty air.

Removing Moa Eggs from the GUI during incubation will not reset the incubation meter to empty. The incubation will not reset or go down when the Incubator is out of Ambrosium Chunks. Instead, it will remain the same until more are added.
